Radovan Charvát – Jan Faktor, W. G. Sebald and Robert Walser
After studying at the Czech Technical University in Prague worked as a mathematician in Computer Technology Center, than he works as translator and journalist. Between 1989–1990 he studied German, English and American Studies at J. W. Goethe University in Frankfurt nad Mohanem. Since 1994 he has been working as a literary translator from german and english. In 2005 he published a translation of Jan Faktor´s novel Jiříkovy starosti o minulost (Georgs Sorgen um die Vergangenheit oder Im Reich des heiligen Hodensack-Bimbams von Prag) in a cooperation with the author.
