Days of Benelux

We would like to invite you and your students on Thursday June 23 to Europa House (náměstí Republiky 12, Plzeň) for the Days of Benelux. Eurocentrum Pilsen and Department of Foreign Libraries of Education and Research Library of Pilsen Region prepared a programm full of games and competitions about Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Do you know: where does Santa Claus come from? Or Smurfs? Or french fries? And which cities are called Gibraltar of the north and Jerusalem of the west?
The event is for the pupils of 3-9 Grade (or lower students of 8- year high schools) in the Pilsen region. Registrated students will be devided into groups in the atrium of European house and then they will go to each room of the building. There are awating quizzes about Benelux, literary meetings, language games, degustation of typical products and creative tasks (theater scenes, pantomime and drawing). They will learn a lot about historical, geographical and cultural attractions of Benelux countries. The winners of competitions and games will get reward at the end of the event.
