Literary evening with American author Diane Simmons, Fulbright scholarship holder. She teaches American literature at the University of Pardubice this semester. Diane Simmons will talk about her new book The Courtship of Eva Eldridge, she treat the topic of the participation of women in American war industry within the 2nd World War and the role of women in American siciety of the 50ies,when the major goal was the perfect marriage with a perfect man. Diane Simmons in her book follow on from a sudy of 800 authentic letters and documents from that time. The story is also engaging sociologic study.
