The aim of the exhibiton is to show the public the possibilities of so called „distance archeological research“-satellite photographs, laser scanning of the landscape. Its purpose is to show the basic principles and also to present on examples, how buried ancient and historical monuments can be „re-seen“ ,the fortified settlements, villages, ceremonial places, cemetary areals, vamished roads, soldier´s camps etc. and how to incorporate these discoveries to the scientific research about the human settlement from the first farmers 7000 years ago till the recent times.

The exhibition shows the contribution of archeologists from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and Institute of Archeology of the CAS to the development of this kind of non destructive way how to reveal the past of humankind.
