Parfume yesterday and today Hana Štolle´s collection of flacons

A beautiful word „Parfume“ comes from latine PER FUMUM, which means „through smoke“. Mankind has been fascinated by scent since the beginning. The desire to be surrounded by beautiful scent became a need. And since the time humans gave to the scents so called cultural function.
Human noticed, that burning of certain kinds of wood and herbs produced scent smokes. Thanks to the raising smoke human dreams were able to connect to devine world. That is why we consider scent smoke first parfume in the world. The first place, where started production of parfumes, was Egypt. Hana Štollová prepared the exhibition about beauty of the flacons. The scents have their flacons and the exhibition Parfume yesterday and today would like to introduce to you its history and contemporary situation. Come with us to reminisce the scents, which can touch us and evoke nice memories in us, although they are several years old.
